What this chapter covers
This chapter covers separate chemically defined organic compounds, whether or not they contain impurities. It also takes in mixtures of two or more isomers of the same compound — excluding mixtures of isomers of acyclic hydrocarbons other than stereoisomers, which fall in Chapter 27 — together with aqueous solutions of these products, solutions in other solvents made only for safety or transport reasons, and goods to which stabilisers, anti-dusting agents, colouring or odoriferous substances have been added for preservation, identification or safety, provided the addition does not make the product suitable for a specific rather than general use. Where goods could fall in two or more headings of this chapter, they are classified in the heading occurring last in numerical order.
