This chapter covers tin and articles thereof; the only heading listed is unwrought tin (80.01). The chapter note defines unalloyed tin as metal containing at least 99% tin by weight, provided its bismuth and copper content stays below the limits in the note's table. A product is treated as a tin alloy where tin still predominates by weight over each other element and either the other elements together exceed 1%, or the bismuth or copper content reaches or passes those table limits.

1. Bu fasılda geçen tabirler aşağıda tanımlanmıştır:

(a) Alaşımsız kalay:

Ağırlık itibariyle içinde bulunan bizmut veya bakır oranı aşağıdaki tabloda belirtilen oranlardan az

olmak şartıyla, ağırlık itibariyle en az %99 kalay içeren metaldir.

(b) Kalay alaşımları:

(i) Ağırlık itibariyle diğer elementlerin toplam oranı %1'i geçen veya

(ii) Ağırlık itibariyle içinde bulunan bizmut veya bakır oranı yukarıdaki tabloda belirtilen oranlara

eşit veya fazla olması şartıyla, içinde bulunan bakır oranı ağırlık itibariyle diğer elementlerin

her birinden fazla olan metalik maddelerdir.
